Financial aid diagnosis |
||||||||||||||||
Once, at a party, I had a doctor ask me how to take care of his student loans. Anyone who works in financial aid knows that when people find out what you do for a living, they ask you to diagnose and help them with their student loans or financial aid. As a financial aid professional, you've become an expert in a field that many people find complicated. Sure, there have been efforts to simplify it, but even we, the professionals, sometimes ask our colleagues for help with sticky financial aid questions. The next time you are at the grocery store, at a party, or at the doctor's office and someone asks you for help with their financial aid, remember they are coming to you because you are an expert. They know you have the answers or guidance they need. Isn't it nice to be in a profession that is so needed by so many? When that doctor asked me for help, I suggested he take my card and call me in the morning. | ||||||||||||||||
